Haus of Euro Takes the Whole Family to SouthWest Speed Festival for a Weekend of Drifting & Fun
SouthWest Speed Festival at Podium Club delivered everything a motorsports enthusiast could ask for, drifting, Formula cars, Time Attack builds, the smell of race fuel in the air, food, drinks, and Haus of Euro showed up ready to experience it all together.
A Weekend of Speed at Podium Club
For those who live and breathe motorsports, Podium Club felt like heaven. From the Formula cars slicing through corners to the aggressive aero and lap hunting intensity of Time Attack machines, there was constant action on track. Add in drifting, full lock, tire smoke pouring into the Arizona sky, and it was impossible not to feel the energy. SouthWest Speed Festival isn’t just a spectator event. It’s immersive. You don’t just watch the cars, you feel them. The vibration in the stands. The scent of burning rubber. The roar of engines echoing off the grandstands. It’s the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why you fell in love with motorsports in the first place.
Austin at Mulletsport Racing: Big Turbo Power & Ride-Alongs
One of the biggest highlights of the weekend, at least for the HOE team, was Austin at Mulletsport Racing who brought out his Audi S4 featuring a freshly built Big Turbo LS engine setup. Austin spent the weekend giving ride-alongs, offering passengers a firsthand experience of what serious power feels like. The new LS build delivered relentless acceleration, turbo spool that hit hard, and a soundtrack that turned heads across the paddock. Watching people climb out after their ride, with wide eyes and uncontrollable smiles, was a moment in itself. It’s one thing to see a build on social media. It’s another to strap in and experience it at full throttle on a live circuit.
Cody’s BMW E46 Drift Car Debuts Fresh Livery
Back in the Haus of Euro paddock, Cody’s BMW E46 drift car received a bold refresh right at the track, and it quickly became one of the standout visuals of the weekend. Riana from Thatz a Wrap was on-site laying down the the fresh new livery, transforming the E46 in real time. Watching the wrap come together in the paddock added a whole different level of excitement. Layer by layer, the car took on a sharper, more aggressive identity that perfectly matched its drift-ready stance. There’s something special about unveiling updates at the track. It’s raw. It’s authentic. Surrounded by fellow enthusiasts, the work doesn’t go unnoticed, people stop, ask questions, snap photos, and appreciate the build. Riana’s attention to detail brought the Haus of Euro branding to life on Cody’s car, elevating its presence both on and off the track. When the E46 rolled out for drifting sessions under the Arizona sun, the fresh livery hit differently, clean, bold, and unmistakably a Haus of Euro car.
BBQ, Bonding
While the track action stayed relentless, the Haus of Euro crew made sure the paddock felt like home. The grill fired up, food was shared, stories were told, and families mingled between sessions. That’s what separates an event from an experience. SouthWest Speed Festival gave us a chance not only to work alongside each other, but to relax, laugh, and enjoy the moment together. Kids ran around the paddock. Friends stopped by to talk builds. New connections were made. Old friendships strengthened. Car culture at its best isn’t just about horsepower numbers or lap times. It’s about the people standing next to you in the paddock. Being part of a team that works hard during the week and then shows up together to enjoy weekends like this is something special. It builds morale. It builds loyalty. It builds trust. And most importantly, it builds memories.
When the Weekend Took a Turn
As with any motorsports event, unpredictability is part of the game. Late in the weekend, Austin’s Audi S4 encountered mechanical damage that forced the team to call it early. It wasn’t the ending anyone wanted, especially after such a strong showing with the new Big Turbo LS setup. But that’s racing. Setbacks are part of the journey. They test the build, the driver, and the team. And if there’s one thing Haus of Euro understands, it’s how to come back stronger. The focus now shifts to repairs, improvements, and preparation for Austin’s official debut at HotPit Autofest on March 7th at Orange Show Speedway. The team is already dialing things in, ensuring the Audi returns sharper, stronger, and ready to make a statement.
Why Events Like SouthWest Speed Festival Matter
SouthWest Speed Festival is more than just a lineup of cars on track. It’s a gathering point for enthusiasts across multiple disciplines, drift, Formula, Time Attack, street builds, track builds, and everything in between. It bridges gaps. It connects drivers with fans. Builders with future clients. Kids with future dreams. It gives the next generation a front-row seat to what’s possible. For Haus of Euro, weekends like this strengthen the foundation of the team. They remind us why we put in the late nights, why we obsess over details, and why we continue pushing builds forward.
It’s not just about showing up, it’s about showing up together.
Looking Ahead
Despite the mechanical setback, the weekend was a success in every way that matters. The rides. The drifting. The fresh livery. The BBQ. The laughter. The shared passion. Podium Club truly felt like heaven for motorsports lovers, and SouthWest Speed Festival delivered a great experience. The team was bummed that we couldn’t get our 190e EVO 1 or Mini Cooper builds out for some track time, but maybe next year.
Until then, we’ll keep building, keep pushing, and keep bringing the whole family along for the ride.
